    Edition of 27 lathe-cut 7" housed in vellum envelope with transparent insert.

    These lathe-cut records are made one-at-a-time, in real-time, by an actual person using an experimental process and a 70 year old machine. They are not pressed records and may have slightly more surface noise or an occasional light distortion in some frequencies. The volume will also be a little lower than a modern record, so jack that shit up. Likewise, they may require tonearm and anti-skate adjustments in order to track correctly, as these are cut to a harder plastic which have slightly shallower grooves than a traditional record. These records will not degrade or harm your needle or cartridge. Do not use automatic start on you player.

Matthew Regula, (the wizard manning the synth-guns in Telecult Powers and Hex Breaker Qtet, and the zone administrator behind High School Confidential) is a pretty much a patron saint in The First Church of Synthesis - having built a large majority of the house’s synthesizers, including the Buchla 200 that sits at its center. He’s fixed just about everything I either break or acquire already broken, and is solely responsible for the totality of the soldering of the inter-floor junctions that connect the extremities of the house in a master brain matrix of hidden XLRs running behind its walls. I've been hounding him for a master for YEARS (YEARS!!!), and so stoked to share this with y'all...

‘VERSION’ marks the first peeks behind the curtain of Regula’s long-hidden beat-adjacent guise, XTAGCY. Taking nods from the earliest 60s dub producers, Matthew introduces the project by teasing 'the shape of zones to come' with a pair of mind-bendingly hypnotic Version extrapolations - stripped-down reworks culled from denser arrangements of the material he’s been prepping for the forthcoming storm. Keep watching the skies.
